Episode 63: nSquared Panel Discussion – Unstacking Student Data and Campus Infrastructure

The transition to cloud infrastructure and SaaS products accelerated exponentially in the last decade. Everything from the Student Information System to Parking Management Software is moving into the cloud. In this transition from on-premise to cloud systems, campuses are increasingly looking for best practices, recommendations, and security methodologies to follow to support this rapid transformation. In this panel, we will discuss how academic institutions are gearing towards this new reality and the leading software providers are rethinking student data and campus infrastructure.

Panel Discussion: Unstacking Student Data and Campus Infrastructure

According to a recent survey, 39% of higher education apps run in the cloud today, and that number is expected to increase to 62% by 2021.

Most deployments will likely use a combination of a public cloud and a private environment that remain distinct entities but are bound together, an approach known as a hybrid cloud. Most experts agree that the hybrid cloud will be the new normal. According to a March 2020 report, more than 90% of global enterprises will rely on the hybrid cloud by 2022

How is the accelerating movement toward SaaS platforms impacting the campus infrastructure? How radically did the campuses have to adapt to move their on-premise software and applications to SaaS applications over the last 10 years?

Do you see this trend continuing to accelerate?

How are your organizations preparing your team or your customers for this new reality?
