According to the latest figures that came out earliest this year, the report showed that 4.5 million people voluntarily left their positions in November – an “all-time high,” according to the agency responsible for collecting the data.

Many are giving up the traditional 9-to-5 structure entirely; 20% of Americans say they are considering a switch to full-time freelance work, according to recent Upwork research.
